We start this hut-to-hut tour at the Gasthof Breitlahner in Ginzling. The guide will meet you here and give you further explanation about the coming days.
If desired, the guide can also get acquainted in the days before and check the material for the hut-to-hut tour. Think of shoes and backpacks.

After the introduction, we go up a nice wide road to the Alpenrose Hütte. We sometimes walk uphill along meadows, waterfalls and a beautiful mountain world.
Along the way we have a cup of coffee or a soft drink at the Grawand Hütte that we encounter along the way.
After this well-deserved break, we continue above the tree line, we can already see the glaciers in the distance and slowly we also see our mountain hut for the night.

The area in which we walk is a paradise. Each part of the hut-to-hut tour differs in terrain, nature and views. In addition to hiking, having fun is an important part.
We will take all the time to enjoy the environment in different ways.
The children (and parents) will never forget this trip.

Alpenrose Hütte and Berliner Hütte

We stay in this hut-to-hut tour in the above-mentioned mountain huts. Both cabins are very different from each other and so nice to have been in both.

The Alpenrosenhütte is a hut in the middle of the Zillertal Alps that is only open in summer. The Tyrolean mountain hut in the Zillertal Zemmgrund has a total of 80 beds. It is the ideal starting point for high alpine mountain tours in the Zillertal Alps, such as to the Schwarzenstein or the Zsigmondyspitze. In addition, the Alpenrosenhütte is ideal as a stopover on multi-day hiking tours and a popular stage destination on the Berlin Höhenweg.

The Berliner Hütte is powerful and breathes a piece of history. The idea of being able to spend the night in this mountain hut is a dream in itself.
The Hütte is a category I refuge of the Berlin branch of the German Alpine Club.

Listed as a Historic Monument since 1997, the Alpine Club is the largest of its kind in the Zillertal Alps in the Austrian Tyrol with more than 180 overnight stays in rooms and dormitories. The Berliner Hütte is the oldest and best-known mountain hut in the Zillertal Alps. It was the first and, until 2013, only refuge in Austria to be granted the status of an architectural monument.

A good preparation consists of strengthening muscles that you rarely use in daily life and improving mobility and stability.
