Day hike to perhaps the most famous mountain hut in the Zillertal.
We take a walk around the Schlegeis reservoir and then climb up quite a bit until we encounter a beautiful valley with a cascading waterfall.
The Furtschaglhaus is the start of many tours in the high mountains. You see a lot of people here with crampons, pickles and rope. You are 1 with the real mountain jetties here. Weather permitting, we hike up to the glaciers.
Some major mountain tours that start here are: Schönbichlerhorn 3133m, Großer Möseler 3478m and Grosser Greiner 3201m.

07.00 we start at the parking lot of the Schlegeis reservoir. The guide will welcome you and tell you the daily schedule.
We walk around the reservoir at a leisurely pace. Slowly we see the sun rise and we look at the glaciers.
After a steep climb of an hour we arrive at the top of the waterfall, just a little longer and the hut is in sight.
After a drink on the terrace, we walk towards the glaciers or another beautiful viewpoint when the weather is nice.

What to take with you on the walking tour:
- A backpack with enough drinks and food (breakfast)
- Make sure you have good sunglasses, sunscreen and/or possibly a cap.
- Be aware of the dangers in the mountains. Always bring a vest and rain gear so that you are prepared for different weather conditions.
- Shoes with a firm tread and, preferably, a high shaft, are required for our hikes. If you like to walk with walking sticks, feel free to take them with you.
- Don't forget to bring your charged camera, so you can capture the most beautiful views and places for the future!
